Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 January 2025
These Terms of Service govern the renovation and interior design services provided by Good Vibes Design & Alliance Sdn Bhd (“Good Vibes Design”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Scope of Services
We provide residential interior design and renovation services across Klang Valley, Malaysia. The exact scope of work for each project is defined in a written quotation agreed upon by both parties before any work commences.
Quotations and Contracts
All quotations are itemised and valid for 30 days from the date of issue. A project proceeds only upon written acceptance of the quotation and payment of the required deposit. We do not commence work on verbal agreements alone.
Payment Terms
Our standard payment structure is as follows:
- 30% deposit — due upon signing of the renovation contract, to secure your project slot and initiate material procurement
- 50% progress payment — due upon commencement of carpentry and fit-out installation
- 20% final balance — due upon project handover and client walk-through
All payments are to be made via bank transfer to Good Vibes Design & Alliance Sdn Bhd. Receipts will be issued for every payment received.
Project Timeline
Estimated timelines are provided in the quotation. Timelines may be affected by factors outside our control, including material lead times, site access restrictions, and weather. We will communicate any material delays promptly.
Changes to Scope
Any changes to the agreed scope of work after contract signing must be documented in writing and agreed upon by both parties. Additional costs arising from scope changes will be quoted separately before work begins.
Workmanship Warranty
We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of handover, covering defects arising from faulty installation or workmanship in carpentry, painting, tiling, and electrical/plumbing works carried out by our team.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, natural disasters, or modifications made by third parties after handover. Material warranties are subject to the respective manufacturers’ terms.
Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate unit access and management office clearance
- Ensuring the site is clear of personal belongings before work begins
- Timely review and sign-off on design drawings before production
- Prompt payment per the agreed schedule
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith discussion. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, the matter may be referred to the relevant Malaysian authorities or civil courts.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the total value of the renovation contract. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including loss of rental income, business interruption, or relocation costs.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Malaysia.
